"Harvest Lake" Review

Here is my small spoiler free Harvest Lake review. This is the movie I was most looking forward to picking up at Horror Hound. What I liked most about this movie is there was nothing gratuitous. The film is also beautiful to look at as slowly builds tension and is very dark - the more you think about it, it becomes very disturbing. Ellie Church was awesome in it, she keeps getting better and better in everything I see her in. This may be my favorite from director Scott Schirmer so far. Scott does his own thing, I'm so tired of shaky cameras and found footage movies. This is not one of these. I thought Jason Crowe was outstanding as well. It's a different type of role than I have seen him in before. A job was well done by Brian K. Williams with editing and cinematography. I really enjoyed it and I recommend it to my horror friends.
